We are proud founders of the Guatefuturo and Hondufuturo foundations, created in partnership with business leaders from Guatemala and Honduras to promote education as a catalyst for transformation. These foundations provide scholarships for young professionals to pursue postgraduate studies at top universities worldwide, empowering them to return and contribute to their countries' development. By fostering access to global innovation, technology, and skills, the foundations aim to create a new generation of leaders equipped to drive progress and ensure sustainable growth for the region.

Atitlán Recicla
By 2018, Maya women from communities around Lake Atitlán recognized the growing environmental challenges affecting their lake due to population growth and tourism. Inspired by their ancestral principles of collaboration, they sought support to address the issue. With CBC and "Asociación Amigos del Lago" as key partners, they founded Guatemala’s first women-led recycling cooperative in 2019. This initiative promotes a circular economy, strengthens social ties, and empowers women while preserving the lake’s ecosystem. Today, it serves as a model for how community-driven solutions can create lasting social and environmental impact.

Botellas que empoderan
The "Botellas Que Empoderan" initiative, supported by CBC Perú, PepsiCo, and Khana, merges environmental responsibility with cultural heritage. By turning recycled PET bottles into thread for sustainable fashion, the initiative empowers over 500 Peruvian artisan women. Their ancestral craftsmanship generates income while promoting a circular economy. Beyond environmental impact, the project also provides groceries to soup kitchens, blending tradition and sustainability for a better future.

AYUVI
Since 1997, Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir (AYUVI) has been a lifeline for Guatemalan children diagnosed with pediatric cancer, raising funds to offer free, high-quality care. A key milestone was the creation of the Unidad Nacional de Oncología Pediátrica (UNOP), Guatemala’s only center specializing in pediatric cancer treatment. Supported by public-private partnerships, including CBC, AYUVI ensures children receive comprehensive medical and emotional care. With international collaborations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, UNOP now boasts a 70% survival rate, providing hope and a future for affected families.

Alianza por la Nutrición
Alianza por la Nutrición is a coalition of private organizations and civil society in Guatemala, working to combat chronic malnutrition, which affects nearly half of the country’s children under five. With CBC as a founding member since 2012, the Alliance promotes science-based solutions, focusing on the critical “1000-day window” from pregnancy to a child’s second birthday. This initiative aims to ensure effective, sustainable policies to improve child development and contribute to a more equitable and prosperous future for Guatemala.
